Sauna Technology

Far Infrared Basics

Infrared rays are simply light energy which is outside our normal visible spectrum. This energy warms you up , without warming the air around you as much as a traditional sauna. It works in a very similar way to how the sun warms you up on a sunny day, except our saunas produce no harmful rays.

Research shows that infrared rays with wavelengths between 5.6 and 15 um are optimal for absorption into our bodies and are also the most beneficial spectrum of infrared rays to living organisms. Our carbon fiber panels are tuned to match the bodies own radiant energy output so that absorption is much higher than any other sauna. They are so finely tuned , that our bodies absorb about 93% of the bio-spectrum waves that reach our skin; vastly increasing the benefits of use over other saunas.

Far Infrared Saunas

Wide-Panel Technology

We use specialized infrared heaters made of a carbon nanofiber which ensures the highest exchange rate of 99% from electric power to heat. Normal heaters can reach reach a rate of about 80-90% , so our heaters will save energy and offer more heat for the warming up process.

Every HomeSpa sauna includes our exclusive wide-panel carbon heaters, which are on average double the size of that found in other infrared saunas on the market. They provide the maximum coverage inside our saunas, which in turn leads to more heat and a greater amount of absorption by our bodies.

Many similar saunas on the market have included lots of extra panels to achieve a similar amount of heater coverage to one of our saunas, however we feel that larger panels are a much better choice. By including wide-panels our saunas provide unmatched proformance , and are considered to be safer since they require less power and electrical parts.

Hi-Tech Sauna Structure

We have refined our sauna design over the years to maximize all heat available from the heaters. Most infrared saunas utilize about 80% of the energy from the heaters to increase the saunas temperature, but 20% of the energy is lost through the back panels and warming of the sauna structure.

We have solved this problem by using a thin mineral layer behind our heaters which reflects almost all the heat back inward. Any heat which rises off of the heaters is channeled outward through a small intake structure we now include in all saunas.

This combination of wide-panel heaters and an effecient sauna structure make our infrared saunas among the best found anywhere.
